Yeah. Cops here are almost never in a good mood. You will pay BIG if they see it.

Once I was doing 40 in a 25 (Non residential and safe) and went right past a parked cop... He wasn't looking. So lucky there. I watch me speed a bit more now. (Especially since I am fifteen and only get 6 points.)

actually forgot. I don't wear it when working (in and out of truck too much) but I wear it going to and from work. Well, most of the time. Sometimes I forget.

Even with "in and out of truck" a lot I would still wear it religiously. It's all the stopping and starting where a crash is most likely to happen! What do you do for work that has you hopping in and out so much?

I do door to door sales.

You can climb down from the soap box, though - your evangelism about seat belts will not change my habits. I don't like seat belt laws not because of the seat belt, but because we should be free to make decisions - even bad ones. I do not want the state hovering over me like an overprotective parent with the attitude that they must protect me from myself.

That's fine, if you don't want to wear it I can't force you. Statistics are long against your habit, and I don't think it should be a law, but I do think insurance should have a much lower medical cutoff for people who weren't wearing a seat belt in an accident. That's where my soap box ends!
